2010 College Track

Dates: July 28-July 31

Location: Ramapo College of New Jersey, Mahwah NJ

LMTI College Track focuses upon providing participants with the resources necessary to transition smoothly from a high school building to a college campus. Typically a three or four day conference, students who attend LMTI College Track must be recent high school graduates who are moving onto college or the next stage of their lives. The main objective of LMTI College Track is to help students to understand how to remain or become alcohol, tobacco, or other drug free while in college. Participants have the opportunity to learn from current and past prevention leaders who have been successful in implementing prevention programs on college campuses.

2010 Summer Leadership Conference

Dates: August 23-27

Location: YMCA Camp Ralph Mason, Hardwick NJ

The LMTI Summer Leadership Conference kicks off with a five-day Summer Leadership Conference at YMCA Camp Ralph Mason in beautiful Hardwick, NJ. The program, however, is a 10 month commitment for participants & advisors, as well as the LMTI staff. LMTI is ideally suited for groups of students that intend to continue working together after their participation in the Summer Leadership Conference. The goal of the Summer Leadership Conference is to provide "Action Groups" (3-20 students from the same school/community) with the tools and knowledge necessary to develop and successfully implement peer-focused prevention strategies to reduce risk factors identified by the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP). The LMTI staff will work closely with your students throughout the school year to provide support as needed. In addition, several supplemental events, such as a statewide Reunion, a statewide Lock In, and networking meetings give participants the opportunity to stay motivated throughout the school year.
